It got to a point in my 20’s where I started to become really depressed and hate and despise who I was, because I felt it was a curse to be a woman. I felt like God hated women.

My conscience couldn’t be reconciled with many of these traditional sexist teachings. It even reached a point where I stopped going to church for 2-3 months for the first time in my life. I started to hate Christianity because of what some believers taught about women. I couldn’t bring myself to agree with it, so I felt like a hypocrite being in church.
